It might look unassuming, and it might be located in a strip mall of sorts, but Book Buyers kept me occupied for a long time with its tall, seemingly never ending shelves.
While visiting a friend in Charlotte, she mentioned the very close proximity of a used book store to her house. She knows me so well. I didn’t have enough time to make it over to The Last Word, but I was determined to fit in at least one local spot. This fit the bill.
Book Buyers is friendly and has a ton of titles to browse. They also have a diverse selection and many sections for genres and areas of interest. Add to that the local book store cat, and you’ve got a winner.
I scanned the shelves left to right, top to bottom, repeat. A book for me, a book for the best friend, and I left felling happy on the inside.
If you find yourself in the charming uptown of Charlotte, grab a drink on the rooftop bar of Whiskey Warehouse and be sure to stop in at Book Buyers. Bonus points if you read your new titles over brunch at The Peculiar Rabbit. (SUPER bonus points if you drive out to The Sleepy Poet and explore 55,000 square feet of awesomeness!)
