It’s spring! Sort of. We’re almost a full 3 months into 2016, and it feels familiar now. The past few months have found me in Austin, Roanoke, Salt Lake City, and very soon Clemson, Midway, and Puerto Vallarta. All that travel time means sweet, sweet reading time, my friends.
I love hearing what others are reading, because it gets the juices flowing. Here are some of my recent reads:
The Year of Magical Thinking by Joan Didion
On Beauty by Zadie Smith
The Lowland by Jhumpa Lahiri
On Writing by Stephen King
Fates and Furies by Lauren Groff
The Three Signs of a Miserable Job by Patrick Lencioni
Single, Carefree, Mellow: Stories by Katherine Heiny
Juggling non fiction reads for work and a mix of fiction styles has been great for me. I’m currently working on Outside In: The Power of Putting Customers at the Center of Your Business by Harley Manning and Kerry Bodine (we’re in the age of the customer, people) and Church of Marvels by Leslie Parry. I’m also truthfully trying to find a rhythm in A Brief History of Seven Killings by Marlon James. We’ll see. (Goodreads is just the best, isn’t it?)
How are you doing? What are you reading?
