In light of it all

Funny how a personal blog seems so unimportant in the wake of recent events.

Though, reading is no less in important. In fact, it just went to the top of the list of shit you should be doing right now.

Feeling crazy? Read.

Confused? Read.

Lost? Read.

Angry? Read.

Looking for answers? Read.

Need perspective? Read.

Ok. You get the point.

This is really obvious advice, and it comes way after the point of origination, but all I’ve done in the past 4 months is read articles and lists of books upon books, both old and new, that we should be consuming. Some I’ve read, some I’m visiting, but it’s easy to get overwhelmed. Will we ever catch up?

If you haven’t already, here are some great starting points:

12 Books We’re Reading to Help Us Understand the Election Result

25 Books to Help You Understand America in 2016

Still Puzzled By The Election?

24 Books, Essays, and Other Texts to Read Because You’re Still Having Trouble Processing the Election

PS: I’ve also been listening to The Daily, a podcast by The New York Times. It launched on February 1 and has been helpful in wading through the many things happening in a 24 hour period.
